CECILE’S JOURNAL

航 海 日 誌

April 3, 1657

“As always, the waters of the Caribbean are rough and choppy during this time of year.
The waves were high again today.
Ships that try to across the seas during this rough season are easy prey.
Today’s catch: Three merchant vessels. Not bad.
Beheaded the captain and some of the crews.
Will move the ship to waters near Lep Island tomorrow.”

Captain cecile’s journal is always lean and concise.
Sometimes it is rather heartless.
But no one knows about the first page that was torn out.
“The scar of betrayal hurts more than my slashed, bloody cheek.”
That day, he penned his cry of agony across that page of the journal.

The son of a noble family, with pure cheeks and silvery hair, looks nice in white lace.
His movements are graceful.
A simple bow in reverence exhibiting his dignified beauty.
Once, Cecile was renowned by all as a brilliant young nobleman.
Even though the ocean has toughened his skin and frayed his hair, he yet possesses a prideful heart.
But what is the oath upon a “silver coin” that is hidden deep within his heart?

The scar on the Cecile’s face is a symbol of betrayal.
It’s a symbol of revenge he will never forget.
When Cecile loses himself in anger, an ugly scar, which appears in clear relief,
burn like fire against his wall.
Cecile doesn’t know this scar is the very reason even the troublemakers and
ruffians fear this handsome and gallant young pirate.

A quick break.
Snuggling against Captain Cecile is the shadow of himself.
Only his shadow knows the gentle look on his face
that he never shows to his men nor even to Lady Silvie.
What is his favorite lullaby? The sound of ocean waves?
Is it the warming sound of a crackling fire aglow in his quarters?
Or…is it the elegy by a diva he once heard on that island?
